Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.
Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a small off-white head. The aroma is slightly sweet with malts and just a sprinkling of hops. Sweet again to start with in the mouth, but there’s some underlying bitterness from the off, and this gradually increases. Juicy, but slightly watery. Later on some hops come through along with barley sugar and hints of spice, leading to a dry and bitter finish. It’s reasonable.

Black with creamy head. Aroma and flavour have obvious dark roasted malt and dark chocolate. Also subtle red fruits and soft whisky liqueur sweetness. Silky texture.

Keg @ Tavern, Warrington. Hazed golden with a head. Lightly carbonated tasty hop combination - perhaps more hoppy than fruity but the blend works well. Pine evident in both aroma and taste.

Keg @ 9 Gallon, Warrington. Golden with a carbonation and a decent head. Its 'Brut' styling is obvious but there's a lot more going on here too with good tropical fruit notes available, pine in aroma and aftertaste.
