Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.
Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Pale yellow colour with fluffy head. Nice aroma with some lime and grapefruit citrus peel. Solid hop bitterness. Although a bit light bodied the bitterness aids this a thirst quencher.

Clear pale yellow colour with lasting thin head. Some boiled vegetables in the aroma and flavour. Not quite ok. Some background notes of mandarin citrusy hop.

Black with creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a light red fruit sweetness next to the roasted bitter malts and dark chocolate. Good quality. Bourbon is hard to find though. Feels lighter than 9%.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is mainly malts but with some hints of summer fruits. In the mouth it is slightly sweet. Initially with melon and grapefruit, but later more generic ctirsu and a little stickiness. It’s OK, but eminently forgettable.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. Apricots to the fore in the aroma, plus just a faint hint of disinfectant. Floral hops are the mainstay in the mouth, along with biscuits , herbs and hints of apricot and citrus. Finish is dry with a touch of citrus stickiness. This is OK, though the name is a bit of a misnomer.

440ml can from Everyman's, Shrewsbury. As before. Quite a mild flavour profile. August 9th 2022: Cask @ Bridge Street Ale House, Newcastle Under Lyme. Pours dark, small tan head. Light whiff of choc. Taste brings pleasant chocolate fudge notes, though quite mild overall. One of the better beers this evening.
