Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.

Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Cask: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruit, citrus. Taste is bitter forward of hops, citrus, cleaner astringent, rugged.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Bright yellow gold, clear with a thin off-white head. Strong apricot aroma with an intense ammonia note. Bittersweet taste with an off flavour at the fore, sort of garbage/plastic which is a shame as if not for this it'd be a gorgeous pale. It is still a good beer but needs serious refining.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy-frothy head. It’s hoppy with a mild sweetness and some bitterness, with its strength providing depth.

Hazy yellow colour with lasting thin head. Aroma and flavour have pleasant fruity elements. Especially juicy mandarin. Nicely bitter in the finish.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield. Poured a clear black colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is chocolate, fudge, caramel. The flavour is liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, smoky, strong liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Looks great, smells awesome, tastes poor.

Cloudy dark blond colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have something of boiled sweet root vegetables so maybe some problem with DMS in this brew. The citra hops do kick in and help a lot

Black with thin head. Aroma is burnt charcoal and treacle toffee. There's a bad mix of very strong bittersweet notes and a certain astringency I associate with forest fruits. That, combined with the high carbonation makes it fairly unpalatable.

Pale blond colour with quick fading head. A simple malty pils. Just a little bitterness in the finish. Preferable to commercial lagers.
