Cask at the Wellington, Sheffield on 22nd February 2019. Copper with yellowy white foam affording full lacing. Leafy, herby and pungent aroma. Caramel malt and berry fruits in-mouth, and a sweet, malty finish. A very smooth mouthfeel and a medium body.

Handpull cask at the Two-Tailed Lion at Leicester. Murky cream/gold with some bubblings of white head. Fruity aroma, I'm getting apricot, pineapple, some lychee. Taste is bittersweet with the fruity hop in the foreground. I keep expecting a bitter punch in the finish which never comes. Watery body. Very nice, but there isn't quite as much to it as I'd have liked.

Cask handpull at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a medium amber colour with a mostly lasting thin white head. The aroma is malt, woody light floral hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a smooth, rich malty, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A great British pint!

Gravity cask at the 2018 Winter Beer Festival, Knighton and Clarendon Park Conservative Club. Murky dark olive gold and flat. Naked booze and intense hop aroma. Taste is too strong, too intense and messy. I get a lot of booze and a lot of astringent hop oil but little else. Flat oily body with a massive alcohol burn going down (it's only 8.2% so quite an achievement). Pentrich do lovely APAs and the like but this doesn't gel with me.

30/11/2018. Cask at the Dove Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, caramel, pomelo, passion fruit and grass. Light to moderate sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish with some dryness and biscuit. Enjoyed it.
