Description
Rowton Brewery was established in October 2008 by Jim Preston. Purpose built in a converted Victorian cattle shed on the family farm the micro-brewery has plenty of character.
Rowton Brewery has been supplying the good people of Shropshire with traditionally brewed real ales since 2008.
Consistency is maintained by getting the basics right every brew by using high quality Maris Otter malt, the finest hops sourced from round the world and water drawn from our own borehole.
The theme around the breweries logo and merchandise is based around the Rowton Meteorite that landed in the village of Rowton in 1876, which is believed to be the only Iron Meteorite that has been seen to hit the Earth in the United Kingdom. The Meteorite is currently in the Natural History Museum in London.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark with ruby hints, small tan head. Light roast aroma. Taste presents a good chilli kick that I think others here struggled with. I paired it with some spicy nuts from a stall here. Not too bad, I’ve warmed to chilli beers in recent years.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark brown, thin off-white head. Peppermint to the aroma. Taste presents more dark mint chocolate than the chocolate orange version. Still rather light and a touch watery. Fun for a half.
