Description
Rowton Brewery was established in October 2008 by Jim Preston. Purpose built in a converted Victorian cattle shed on the family farm the micro-brewery has plenty of character.
Rowton Brewery has been supplying the good people of Shropshire with traditionally brewed real ales since 2008.
Consistency is maintained by getting the basics right every brew by using high quality Maris Otter malt, the finest hops sourced from round the world and water drawn from our own borehole.
The theme around the breweries logo and merchandise is based around the Rowton Meteorite that landed in the village of Rowton in 1876, which is believed to be the only Iron Meteorite that has been seen to hit the Earth in the United Kingdom. The Meteorite is currently in the Natural History Museum in London.

Cask pint at the Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse, Wellington on 4th August 2023. Nice, easy going beer, clean and clear golden body, full on white head with lacing. I'm sat outside the brewery, so it's travelled 20 yards at the most since being brewed. Citrus front with a pale malt sweetness, another winner from Steve and his team.

Keg @ Pheasant Inn, Wellington. Hazed golden yellow, white head. Moderate hoppiness, with citrussy grapefruit coming to the fore alongside a firm bitterness.. quite gassy for keg but ok overall.
