Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear, cibrant good with a thick, white foam head. Nose holds some straw and ripening lemon. Light sweet flavor, fairly bitter, with straw, lemon rind, some spicy grass and pine. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light to medium sweet finish, some dirty grass, hay, pine needles, grass, pale malts, dry lemon. So so.

21 Feb 2013: Liverpool John Lennon airport, The Argosy, a Wetherspoons while waiting for a flight to Berlin. Two hand-pulled pints into UK sleeve glasses. Golden body with a creamy head in both colour and texture. The whole thing was a fine blend of flavours: the hops and barleys complimented each other very well and I really enjoyed the two pints. The hops just about took control, but overall it seemed a well balanced beer and easy to drink. Nothing complicated, just a good basic beer. Iโve only had beers from this brewery within Liverpool airport: I always head for The Argosy now to see what is on offer from Wrights.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a stupidly tight, white cream head. Pleasant though mild aroma, pale malts, light dried citrus and lemon in particular, some hay. Light sweet flavor, lightl citrus fruits, mellow bitterness, straw, lots of tasty, dried pale malts.ight bodied with fine carbonation. Clean, lightly dry finish, some dirty hay, nips of tangerine. Very nicely balanced APA.

Cask-conditioned at the Merseyside beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol February 2013. Dark brown with a decent, off-white head. Very easy drinking, with plenty of berry fruits, a touch of toasted malts and gentle finish. My favourite beer of the festival.

Cask @ The Dispensary, Liverpool 040113
Itโs not retired yet it seems
Black, big ruby edges in glass, nice dense off white head
Aroma - light bitter roast, touch of spicyness, not a lot on the nose
Taste - Soft roasted malts, dab of chocolate, hint of milk sugars, bitter roast. flavour a little dull but it is 3.4%
Palate - thin to medium body, soft bitter palate. Finish as main flavour, dark malts in the linger with some soft bitter roast
Overall - OK mild, bit bitter, would prefer a little more sweetness

Seasonal cask at Wetherspoon in Westhoughton. Ordinary bitter with more than a hint of winter berries in its taste. Golden brown with a head and a malt aroma.

Fruity aroma in a healthy golden ale with a thick creamy head. Is hopped based and those used give it a heavy texture. Fruit flavours.

Bottle, Ship in a Bottle, West Kirby. Amber pour with a lingering white head. . Flavour and nose had some great tropical fruit notes alongside some excellent hoppage. Top notch bitter linger in the finish. A shame this is only a special, as its a lovely beer surely worthy of a regular spot. As Daniel rightly states, with Citra hops ya canโt go too far wrong though.

A dark golden brown ale with a smooth creamy brown coloured head, and with a great fusion of malts and hops. Hopped throughout in nose and taste.
