Description
George Wright started production in 2003. The original 2.5-barrel plant was replaced by a five-barrel one, which has since been upgraded again to 25 barrels.

4.6% cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Clear deepish gold colour lasting white head. some soft malt says its a pilsner but taste like an ale yeast to me. Kolsch maybe. Anyway. Its got some dusty hop and its a golden ale. Ok.

Cask handpull 4.7% Cask handpull at The Roscoe Head Liverpool. Clear amber colour lasting beige head. some rose fruit some earthy hops. A premium bitter. Yes decent enough bit lacking in condition. Aveeage .

Cask handpull at The Lion Tavern Liverpool. Clear amber gold colour lasting white head. Classic golden bitter. Good dry bitterness good caramel malt. Session bitter. Soft water. Just a traditional fun golden bitter. Love this pub. Love ordering through a hatch. So happy right now. Love Liverpool and its pubs.

Appearance is very dark, with a small foamy head. Aroma is malty with hints of chocolate, some hop undertones. Taste- coffee, liquorice, dark malts, creamy bitter finish.

Cask @ The Lamb, Bury. Crisp amber coloured ale with a small creamy head. Lightly hopped, little sugary in taste. Has some fruit notes with a slightly Dirty aroma in this respect. Bodd, lees bitter

500ml bottle from the Inn Beer shop, Southport. Pours clear straw gold with a thick white head. Aromas of cooked lemon and that stressed-yeast woody thing. Taste is sweet, woody. Thin finish. Not great.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2014, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As George Wright Mild ].Clear light medium brown amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, bread and chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, caramel, bread, chocolate - roasted notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140812]

Cask @ New Oxford, Salford. Golden with a thin head. Hoppy with quite a dense feel to its texture, which is fairly dry. Thereโs some berry sweetness in its nose.

Bottle from ship in a bottle, west kirby. Deep Amber colour with a thick of white head. Caramel and malt aroma. The taste starts with a caramel sweetness and finishes with a mid bitterness.
