Cask @ Dispensary, Liverpool. Black with a creamy off-white head. Crisp ale that sinks down the palate with ease. Not high on any flavours, but certainly has an excellent texture and mouthfeel. There’s some sweetness in its nose and taste.

Gravity pour: third of a pint. 9th April 2015, Isle of Man beer festival. Good looking dark brown brew, almost black in fact: on top a full off-white creamy textured head. Not a lot of aroma, some malts maybe. The malts do show heavily in the taste with a semi-sweetness that needs the hops to calm them down (which they do) a bit. Decent and worth trying.

Half pint, cask at The Lion Tavern in Liverpool. Patchy surface to a clear golden coloured body. Grass hoppy aroma, hints of cat piss. Taste of pale malts mixed with lemon. Semi-dry ending. Accepted (30.01.2015).

(Cask at Gallow’s Bird Real Ale Festival ’15) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were something medicine like, spiciness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had solvent and bitterness. Decent aroma and very unpleasant taste.

Cask @ Gallows bird, real ale festival 2015. Amber colored, thin white head. Grainy, fruity, water melon, citrus aroma. Flavor has grapefruit, sweet tropical fruits, strong bitterness. Really nice.
