Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with buttery and flowery notes. The flavor is sweet buttery, leading to a nicely bitter end that also contains some grapefruit notes. Remove the butter and this is a very nice beer.

(Cask at Welkin JDW, Liverpool, 25 July) Amber colour with frothy, brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots and mandarin. Rather closed and thin. Malty, fruity taste with mandarin and apricots, slightly acidic (?). Rather boring stuff, actually.

Cask gravity at London Drinker 2006. Golden colour. NIce hop, some juiciness from the pale malt. Bit of sweaty hop. Good hop finish with some citrus. Bit grapefruity flavour as well.

Cask handpull at The Welkin, JDW, Liverpool. Copper beer with lasting off white head. Nice. Bit perfumed. Bitter hop finish. I mean really bitter. Caramel on the aroma. Some creaminess in mouth and then really bitter finish. Yeah, it’s alright. Bit odd, but finish wins through
