[Cask at Alehouse, Reading.] A hazy amber pour with a scant white head; malty aroma; sweet biscuity malt taste; and the lightest fruity bitterness to finish. A basic bitter.

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Copper body, clean and clear, white crown. Aroma and taste seemed to have Rye like esters and flavours in them, certainly dry feel to it from start to finish.

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Red hue to the dark brown body, off-white wisp for a head. Malty for sure, dry yet semi-sweet with hedgerow fruits in the mixture of flavours.

Cask @ The Grasshopper, Southport. Dark clear golden with a creamy-frothy head. Bitter in design, perhaps no more than a mid-bitterness with a lower-end maltiness as well. Pretty easy texture to sup.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling g, Solihull. Poured a mostly clear yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is grainy malt, light yeast and citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malt, light citrus woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Handpull cask at the Metal Monocle, Leicester. Dark reddish brown, a little translucent, some off-white head. Sweet-sour taste, more malt, more cherry. May not be in the best condition. Hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth body with sift carbonation.

Cask at Victoria, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a msall cream head and good lacing. The aroma has roast malts and fudge – plus a hint of mushrooms ! In the mouth it starts out bitter and slightly fruity, with floral hops, ash and coffee grounds . After a while dark fruits and regular malts come through as well. Finish is bitter and slightly dry. This is decent enough, gets more flavoursome as it warms uo.
