Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, very dark red. Teensiest of tan halo. Light, savoury roast. Some coffee grind. Mostly though, plenty of grassy hop juice. This brewer isn’t hop shy. Taste is woody bitter. Some resinous bitterness. Smooth, silky palate, with very soft carbonation. Finishes long, roasty, tangy bitter. Verges on BIPA territory, for me.

Keg at the Tobacco Factory, Bristol, 11/9/2015. Golden in colour with a tight, white, head. Aroma of gooseberries and pineapple with a touch of leafy hop. Easy drinking, with flavours of white grape and grapefruit, grainy malts and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, Iight amber. Messy, bubbly, sticky, lasting, white head. Very fresh, tangy grapefruit hop. Some mandarin. Semi sweet, grainy malts. Some cracker biscuit. Taste is zesty, pithy bitter. Light tang. Barely any sweetness. This is hugely hoppy. Crisp, fresh mouthfeel. Drinks easier than 6%. Finishes fairly long, light tangy, zesty bitter. Touch of dryness on the close. Absolutely smashed this. Right up my street.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Opened with barely a sound. Pours murky brown. Neck of bottle smells lightly of vinegar. Uh-oh! In the glass it’s murky brown. Messy, bubbly, white head. Then things make a turn for the better. Juicy, toffee malts. Juicy, strawberry hop. Some citrus rind. Decent zestiness. Light, piny, resinous notes. Taste is juicy bitter. Quite a bit of tang, which is probably wholly unintentional, but seems to fit in. Very soft carbonation. Finishes long, zesty, fruity bitter. For a beer that I’m certain is not as intended, this is great.

Cask at the rising sun berkhamstead. Very pale yellow coloured pout, clear with a thin white head. Aroma is nice floral, honeysuckle. Damp hay and earthy on the nose as well. Flavour is light hay, earthy straw, beery hop with a little citrus edge. Palate is light, quire refreshing, good cask condition. Solid slightly rough buttering.
