Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Mid gold and clear with a large off-white head. Aroma of citrus and, to a lesser extent, tropical fruits: grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple. Taste is resplendent - may I use that word? - with white grapefruit. The sweetness of the original sip slowly gives way to a lightish bitterness. Body a little watery with no carbonation but that's fine. A decent beer for sure.

Oldham Beer Festival 2024. Slightly hazy golden brew. Tasty combination of hops, somewhat bready, but this infusion with fruit works very well.

Cask at Hops, Crewe – at 6%. Pours a hazy golden brown with a medium sized frothy white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly floral hops, plus a hint of peanut butter. In the mouth it is quite bitter with floral hops to the fore alongside orange peel, and hints of citrus and tangerine. Later on some tropical fruits can be detected. The finish is dry and decidedly bitter, but with some underlying sweetness. This is an interesting beer – old fashioned IPA that is quite bitter but not excessively so. Very drinkable for its strength.

Hand-pulled half-pint on Saturday 18th November 2023, Hops in Crewe before the Latvian Day Tasting with Martin in Ebenezers. Pale golden body, white crown. Nelson Sauvin Hops doing their thing, but all a bit subtle and boring for my palate.

Hazy/cloudy yellow gold with a frothy/creamy white head and a soft citrusy nose. Smooth and creamy with light biscuit malt and a solid citrusy bitterness

On cask at Port Street Beer House, pours a clear dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, bringing out gentle citrusy hop tanginess and soft bready malt. Flavour is fairly bitter, with lots of bitter citrus zest and a big bready malt backbone. Hard to detect the Nelson character specifically but it's a decent beer.

Cask @ Wigan Central, Wigan. Very slightly hazy golden with a red. Hoppy-fruity but more of the former in taste, fruitier in nose.
