Bottle from the brewery's bottle shop - many thanks, Anke! Pours clear red/amber with a quickly thinning head. Aroma of redcurrant, red apple, raisin, lemon peel, kiwi. Taste is medium fruity sour, hints of redcurrant, lemon acid, bitter grapefruit touch, some red & green apple giving a sweetish accent. Dry, tart finish, wheaty, no hoppiness as expected, gently fruity. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Not a bad Sour but misses strength & body.

Bottle from the brewer’s shop - many thanks, Anke! Pours hazy dark brown-black with a slowly dissipating, foamy, tan head. Aroma of bloody iron, pushed aside by toast, tobacco, walnut, coffee roast, fondant, fig, earth. Taste is light malty sweet, basic chocolatey character; bitter toasty core, coffee bean, earth & herbal black tea with a sourish dark fruit tone underneath. An umami edge leads the way to a dry, bitter, toasty finish, earthy hoppy & coffee-like. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Slick & drinkable but firm enough Porter.

10 August 2019. At Belgian Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the crew, thanks for hosting, Tim! Bottle from the brewery shop in Metz - thanks, Anke! Hazy amber, lasting, thick, foamy, tan head. Aroma of red & green bell pepper, biscuit, mango, orange peel, olive oil, pink grapefruit. Taste is light fruity sweet, restrained apple & pear on top of biscuity malt, a bit nutty & toasty; bitterness developing with notes of herbs, pepper, tea leaves; more apparent in the dry, herbal hoppy finish, more spicy & tabasco-like now with a weird hint of bell peppers. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not my cup of tea.
