Quintessence 2016. Rusty golden, clear orange, no head, no bubbles. Grapes, wateriness, rusty character, cinnamon. Non sour, soft feel under medium body. No carbonation. Bottle sampled at quintessence. Clear golden with small white head. Sour grains, lemon, lactic notes, some bitter herbs and oak. Light sour and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with low carbonation. 3.4 bottle at RBESG16. Quite funky and seems less lactic. Seems slightly better when you don’t have it side by side with Cantillon whales. 3.6

Quintessence 2016. Hazy golden, full yellow. Thin white head. Moldy sweet grain, corn, apricot-like fruitiness. Light sweet, light sour. Under medium body, light minerallike and thin oily suplleness. Almost no carbonation.

Sampler from bottle at Quintessence as Barrica 2013. Hazy golden with fine white head. Bitter herbs, sour grains, hay and wood, cobwebs, raisins, quite dusty. Under medium sour and medium bitter. Medium bodied.

Pours unclear blonde. Small white head. Smell is dry, malty. Bit of funk. Taste is Sharp, malty, funk. Oak ( much oak ) ok

Pours rather clear amber. Smell is funky, some oak, some fruityness. Taste is Sharp, fruity, rather dry, some oak. Mild funk. Not really sour.

Pours clear, rather dark blonde. Smell is dry , bit funk. Taste is dry. Bit funk, very malty, Ina way. I also get oranges . low carbo. Nice . would expect more sourness though.
