Bottle. A reddish brown beer, unclear, and topped with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma have a touch of cooked vegetables, but it’s mostly lightly roasted malts, some nuts and a little bit of chocolate. Grassy, piney hops too. It’s full-bodied and quite dry, but with a nice malty sweetness. Chocolate, resins, bitterness and nuts in the flavor. Roasted malts too. Lasting finish. Quite nice this one, but I’m not impressed by the aroma. 150418

Year 2013. Murky coppery color with a white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma is sourish with notes of grapes and some yeast. Flavor has a mild sourness, light white wine notes, yeast and some citrus hints. Light sourish final with low carbonation.

Huge, snowwhite head with textbook lace over clear golden beer with a faint greenish sheen. Fresh green herbs, chervil or parsley; slightly oxydated grain. Slightly sweet, bit dry spices (coriander?), seems some oxydation. Finish has some laurel leaf. Very spritzy, even fizzy MF, light body. Bit fade, might to with a tad more character. Especially since there is no trace of the usual, sourish-y trait of wheat.

750ml bottle I picked up at La Cerveteca in Barcelona pours a lightly hazy orange with a ring of spitty white head. Nose is solid, apricot, orange, white grape, mild funk, grassy, mild sour notes, some stale tea. Flavor is weaker, mild oak, mild lemon, grass, tropical fruit. Watery finish. This is fairly close to being great. Needs a little more body and a bit more complexity. If they rebrewed the base with some unmalted wheat and barreled a little longer then they might have an absolute smash.
