Bottle from Micro Beer Crate. Pours a clear mahogany with small beige head, some retention. Aroma is sweet with light sour pears, raisins, bread, metal. A little odd. The beer shows a lot more in the flavour as the matiness shines through with caramel, toffee and nuts along with some light pear and raisin fruitiness. However there is an undercurrent of booze and metallic notes running through. I enjoyed this but it has its flaws.

330ml bottle. Clear gold, small white head. Aroma of grains, quite sweet, hoppy grass. Taste is the same, a touch malty, but a little on the thin side. Ok.

Keg at the Rebellion Tap Yard, Marlow Bottom, 21/11/24. Murky orange topped with an off white head. Nose is mellow tropical fruit esters, grass, faint pine, mandarin. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, light pine flicker, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy come lightly danko hop bitterness. Not bad ... certainly when held up against the WC IPA from this brewer. Just a little cringe worthy when the brewers description says something like 'craft style' !

Keg at the Rebellion Tap Yard, Marlow Bottom, 21/11/24. Almost clear golden orange, but not so lacking WC vibes already, topped with a just off white head. Nose is grass, melon, tangerine, pale malts. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, melon, grass, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with modest hop bitterness. So so wanna be craft IPA ... not flawed per say ... just limp and directionless and not worth the calorie intake.

Keg at the Royal Oak, Marlow. Murky brownish-yellow with a thin white head (swamp water was the opinion of one present on seeing it). Quite a full mouthfeel, yet very refreshing with a big bouquet and taste of passion fruit, satsumas, coconut, fresh leafy hops and a hint of pine. A bit too bitter at first, but that fades as you drink more and the sweetness behind reveals itself. Lightly dry finish. Decent stuff.

Two pints of keg on a work night time boat trip on the Thames. This is a really good best bitter in the traditional style. Malt and bitter hops really well balanced to give great flavour and mouthfeel. And a really good pint for the venue.
