Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 3 - London. Pours clear orange with a bubbly, white head. Huge piss and manure aroma, some pale malt underneath; lovely. Medium sweet flavor with nice vibrant and oily hops, grapefruit, urine, grass. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Good and dank on the finish with heavy and juicy hop character, lots of tropical fruits. Solid overall.

Bottle @ Steve’s Foco. Thanks Steve. Pours a reddish brown, clear appearance with a brown head. Burnt chocolate, light smoke, light butterscotch, caramel, a touch meaty aroma. A little buttery. Twangy, burnt caramel, chocolate flavor. A little oily. First La Cumbre beer that I didn’t like.

Can brought back by David and shared tonight at the Christmas Party. Huge dank resinous hop aroma. light sweet bready maltiness. Smooth hop flavor and bitterness. That’s a damn fine IPA right there, if I lived closer I’d drink these often.

750 mL bottle shared by jackl at a tasting, 10/6/14. Very hazy orange with a large fizzy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of balloon rubber, latex, peaches, vegetal and floral notes. The taste is mildly tart peaches, oatmeal, mild lactic notes. Medium bodied, mild lingering tartness. Weird one.

GABF 2014. Gold color. Malt and tons of bitter; dry hops. The hops really take the front seat to the light malt sweetness, but it is a sweet beer, with tons of flavor.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice looking copper body that has golden hues and supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet notes with malts and a bit of fruitiness and then it quickly gets into a sort of candied onion spicy dankness. The taste is thick rich and resiny with pine hops that have a nearly astringent bitter edge to it (or this is merely sharp hop bitterness) and then picking up a fruity citrus note. To midway a fairly wide load of sweetened garlic and onion hoppiness help take this into the finish. This is a solid sipper
