Cask gravity at GBBF 2015. It pours lightly hazy orange - amber with a decent bubbly white head. The rich, sticky, grassy, oily pine, dank action, bitter - sweet character, earth and sweet grapefruit. The taste is bitter, grassy, earthy, stickiness, oily hops, varnish, pine, resin, pepper, dank hoppage, light herbal and grapefruit rind with a dry, peppery finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Flavoursome and rather drinkable. Good one.

16 oz can poured. Much thanks to Eric for sending this as a trade extra. Very unexpected. Love it when a beer totally lives up to it’s ratings. Pours a thick, cloudy, bright orange color with a bubbly white head. Aroma is very hop forward with some citrus. Flavor is very heavy on the grapefruit. Towards the late finish, it’s almost like a big bite of grapefruit. Thick body full of citrus. Has the makeup of my favorite IPA’s. Love it.

Can shared at the July MDF tasting. Clear dark red, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, grain, earthy and tropical hops, strong rye. The taste is strong rye, earthy and piney hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

750 ml bottle shared by Willrunforbeer, dude, you killed it again tonight! Much thanks. Color is a lightly hazy gold with thin head. Aroma is zesty with light white grapes, tropical fruit, coconut, and booze.

Well, the booze here is not hidden at all, you will notice it. The hops are alive and well but wow! Slap me in the face with some alcohol. Hard to hide the 10.6 percent. The tropical fruit and grapes are here in full affect with a lingering, strong bitterness. Light grassy hints, good but a harsh slap of booze. If this brewer could cut back on the malt bill and turn down the booze this would be a home run.

Poured from a can. Aroma is rather hoppy with some light cracker and faint caramel malt notes. Hops are mostly citrus with grapefruit and orange dominating. Lighter tropical fruit and stone fruit with some resin to balance the fruit. Pours a clear, copper orange with a medium sized, slightly off white head. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly to moderately sweet with some cracker and caramel notes. High bitterness with fairly high hop flavors. Quite a bit of grapefruit and orange with lighter pineapple and mango. Light peach as well. Some alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice IPA but a bit malty for my preferences with a bit too much caramel. I like the hop profile and the bitterness but it could use more hops in the aroma.

22oz bomber. Red orange hued brown. Off white beige head. Chewy rye, legit hop tones. Really solid offering. Great balance. Bold, but integrates the rye well.

22oz bomber sent by Elise. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Delicate NZ hops meet huge IIPA. Kind of has the dextrose push thing going on, but it completely an awesome modern IIPA so who cares I suppose. Nelson offers up so many nice guava, tropical notes...i don’t get tired of it. Monstrous beast of an IIPA, unfairly and questionably taken to the dome by thyself. Straight up resiny triple IPA hop finish, deep IBUs. Official modern pleasure. Solid offering. Wowsers. I want more.
