Cask at Hope, Carshalton. Aroma is sweet caramel. Slightly sour edge. Opaque dark brown. Thin foamy beige head. Caramel sweetness with a medium bitter coffee edge. Molasses and malts. Medium bodied. Slick. Average-soft carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Nice enough but unexciting.

Draft at Twelve Hundred Postcards, Hastings. Poured a hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, sweet popcorn. The flavour is over moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, sweet toffee, earthy, light herbal, light boozy, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tastes way stronger than the published ABV.
