Bottle. A lightly hazy brown beer with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is roasted and caramel-ish, almost toffee-ish, with a faint spiced touch and some orange zest and figs. It’s rather thin on the palate, but then it’s only at 4.7% ABV so it’s sort of excused and expected. A bit low on carbonation too I think. Roasted malts, licorice, a spiced hint, some toffee and caramel and a nutty touch in the flavor. Citrus peel bitterness that lasts. Overall, a quite decent beer, but as I think it’s more suited for cookies, nuts and dried fruits and other sweet Christmas treats, I need a more full-bodied beer. 141230

0,33 flaske fra vinmonopolet Verksgata: mahognybrun med kort filmskum. Behagelig aroma av malt, krydder og mandler/nøtter. I smaken finner jeg i tillgegg mørk karamell med noe appelsinaktig som frisker opp det hele. Medium munnfylde og heller kort ettersmak. Mer et høstøl enn vårøl??

Bottle @ Højbjerg juletasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, toffee, malt and hops. Sweet and fruity.
