500ml bottle, #018, bought at Meny Oslo City. A two-finger thick, fawn-coloured head over a near-clear mahogany coloured body. Spotty lacing. Brown malty aroma, nuts and caramel. Roasted brown malty flavours, moments of nuts, dark dough, caramel and a coffee twist towards a drying ending. Medium bodied. Pretty alright (Hotel room, Oslo 23.05.2016).

Bottle. It’s a dark reddish brown beer with a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, licorice, some prunes and butterscotch in the aroma. It’s full-bodied and nicely carbonated, rather dry and with a good bitterness to go with the roasted malts and licorice. Some butterscotch and prunes in the flavor too, all lasting for a good while. A nice try but a bit unbalanced I think. 160102

Bottle. It’s an unclear orange-golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is dominated by orange marmalad, with some alcohol and pine cones, and also a touch of roasted malts. It’s full-bodied and quite warming on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Some roasted malt notes and sweetness in the flavor, with oranges, pine cones and alcohol. And bitterness of course. Warming, orangey finsih. Lacking big time on balance this one, and the aromas and flavors seems to go in all directions. 160102
