Life is indeed good.

05.09.2015, 0,5l bottle sampled @ Bergen Ølfestival:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is sweet grassy, wet leafs, wet grass, moss, light malts, winegum, hay, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, weeds, wet hay, old leafs, paper, bark, harsh grass, soap. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry kind of medical mouthfeel. Meh!

I actually enjoyed this one. Not Hill Farmstead. They have a road to walk then. Still a nice first try. Looked good. Cloudy yellow golden color with a fine thick head that last. A bit mild aroma. Some yeast, fruity and citric. Ok body with an ok carbonation. A little bit on the soft side. A bit rare and unusual bitterness. Mild acidity and a mellow sweetness. Citric, yeast (a bit to mild – more Belgian/farmouse please), fruity and some spices in the flavor.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours slightly hazy deep golden to amber with a fairly decent, off-white head. Hoppy and herbal aroma with pine, caramel, some tropical fruits and hints of citrus. Fairly sweet with quit strong hoppy flavours and a fair amount of caramel. Finishes rather bitter and a medium long, bitter aftertaste. A bit too much on the sweet side for my taste, but certainly a decent brew. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hermansen IPA on 09 Sep 2015 at 19:58 - Score: 7
