Cask at The Orange Tree, Chelmsford. Pours very dark brown with a small lasting towards beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, caramel, cookies and cream. Medium plus sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Enjoyable beer.

Cask @ The Orange Tree, Chelmsford. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and hops. Nice sweet roasty finish.

Cask at the Alma Inn, Harwich. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop, fresh citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a light, fresh citrus, light smooth barnyard palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Half-pint, cask, house beer at The Victoria Inn. Near clear, pale golden body, spotty lacing from a white layer. Lemony hops to the nose. Ripe citrus flavours, hints of lime. Rounded bitter finish. Easy going. (Colchester 13.07.2017).

One-third pint, keg at Three Wise Monkeys. Crystal clear copper coloured body. Dissipating beige head, Dotted spots on the glass. Vague malt-fruity nose. Mixed taste of grain, caramel and a backdrop of lemony hops. Short-lived malt-fruity bitter end. Clean in the mouth. Easy going. (Colchester 12.07.2017).

14th July 2017: cask half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Dark brown/ruby, lightly tanned head. Oaty and malty in both aroma and taste. Decent stuff.

Deep dark color with a tan layer on top. Nice coffee aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. A bi to sweet on the palate. Coffee, chocolate and to much vanilla in the flavor. I can have one of these, but not two on the same day.

Handbill cask at the Cambridge Blue. Dark chocolate brown, translucent with a quickly disappearing cream head. Porridge and chocolate milk in the aroma. Gentle creamy sweetness with a touch of liquorice. Short sweet finish with just a touch of leafy hoppy bitterness. Flat body. Quite good and easy-drinking mild.
