Cask at Pig's Ear 2017. It pours clear deep amber with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, toasty grain, porridge, wood and a touch of citrus. The taste is dry, bitter, a bit floral, grassy, toasty grain, pithy lemon and soda water. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a whole lot to it. Drinkable enough but forgettable.

500ml bottle [from a trade with Grumbo - thank you very much, Graham!]. Minimally milky, redd-ish, deep copper colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity hoppy and caramel malty aroma, notes of red berries, especially lingonberry. Taste is mellow malty and fruity hoppy, hints of caramel and toffee, red berries; slightly dry, leafy hoppy finish. Nice.

Cask at Pig's Ear '17,day one, 05/12/17. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is pale malts, straw, grass, light bread. Taste comprises light citric peel, grassy, breads, grains, lemon rind. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... lacks any real flavour ... not unpleasant to taste but may as well be drinking water!
