Golden orange coloured body with a thin white head that fades very quickly. Aroma of lemons, Northwest hops, astringent alcohol and some malt. Light-bodied; Assertive bitter hoppiness with a mild maltiness and a very strong finish. Aftertaste shows lemon and alcohol with little else. Overall, a nice beer for the style-very potent and strong. Nice to try out here in Virginia! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased at Norms in Vienna, Virginia on 09-August-2004.

Orange/golden coloured body with a very nice white head. Aroma of strong citrus hops with some sugars & floral essences. Medium-bodied; Bitter hop tastes up front with strong flavours of grapefruits. Aftertaste very clean for such a hoppy taste. Overall, a very nice ’light’ beer-definitely worth trying! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo in Danville, California on 18-July-2004.

Pitch black coloured body in glass; See-thru on pour-with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, toffee, malt, nutmeg, caramel and STRONG prunes! Medium to Full-bodied; Potent coffee taste with some slight chocolate and prune tastes. Aftertaste bittered from the malt-but plentiful sugars go a long way! Overall, an interesting & rather light imperial stout, but great to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 10-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottled. Hazy golden, firm head. Grassy nose, medium dry. Some chewy malts are there along with hay-like hops. Balanced bitter finish. A solid, very quaffable pilsener.

An unclear orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and grassy. The flavor is sweet hoppy with a dry hoppy end. Quite simple, but nice.

Bottled. Orange-amber, big fluffy head. Orangey nose. Sweet and boldly malty with soft, but syrupy and fatty mouthfeel. Like sweetened, concentrated orange juice, but with very bitter finish. Too sticky.

Amber coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt and mushrooms. Light to Medium-bodied; Decent mild earthy flavours with some sweetness, but not much. Overall, not as great as expected, but good to try, as this is a rariety. Thanks very much to Phil (haddon90) who gave me this bottle long ago and I kept it for something special. I sampled this 65 cL bottle on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Ontario.

Bottle. Dark amber beer with a big off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with a few other fruits thrown in. Malt/caramel backbone with a grapefruity flavor. Bitterness tingles at the end. Medium body. Dry finish.

Deep Copper with a frothy white head that sticks to the glass. Sweet malt and caramel aroma with the freshness of a new mowed lawn to it. The aroma promised a beer just on the sweet side and this was a total surprise to find it just on the bitter side instead. Nice smooth palate with a bitter finish.

This is quite a fruity IPA, from the aroma of citrus and berries, to the strawberry color, to the abundant flavors of strawberries, cherries (do I detect a hint of raspberry?) - quite unique and odd - moderate hops and a strong, biscuit-like malt backbone for the fruit flavors to play off of - a unique experience - expect a malty ESB rather than an IPA, though.
