Description
Inspired by the Wiltshire landscape surrounding us, we work towards being the most sustainable brewery that we can be. Most importantly, when we began and with the right tools in our hands, we knew that we could create a mighty fine pint. A small team then set about with a vision for handcrafting ales from plough to pint. Using barley from our fields and chalk-filtered water from our own source, we’re bigger and bolder than we were then, but with the same knowledge that nothing quite beats the taste of a decidedly good pint after a long day.

Cask-conditioned at the Bridge Inn, Bristol, November 2024. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus hops and green herbs. Flavour had tangerine and pineapple fruit, some pine character, crisp malts and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at Oaksey Park Golf Club in memory of my Dad, who loved it here. Golden-amber with a loose white head. Slightly sulphurous up front, with orange and malt coming through. Wet green leaves and an earthy note in the moderately bitter finish. Sadly not in the best condition, but still had a decent mouthfeel. Would have liked a better brew to commemorate my Dad, but then he did always like his cask bitters so it was quite appropriate.

Bottle from a garden center over in Bagshot/Sunningdale direction. Aroma had grains, malts, citrus and glue. Clear gold. Frothy foamy white head. Medium bitter. Woody. Citrus. Followed by sweet malty gluey streak. Light . Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Alright. Chewy. Not keen on the overly sweet syrupy element
