200ml, draught at Mikkeller Bar. Bright naked surface. Close to black coloured body. Sweet chocolate malts on the nose. Creamy chocolate taste with coffee and a hint of liquorice followed by a touch of grassy hops towards a bittersweet ending. Fine bodied. Nice (Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

200ml, draught at Mikkeller Bar. Black coloured body with a deep rustic shade. Tiny, fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing behind. Inviting aromas of dark malts and red oranges. Taste follows the nose with chocolate and citrus hops, well balanced. Roasted bitter ending, long-lived. Medium to full bodied. A well made interpretation of the style (Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, thanks to hannu for sharing. Body is black as pitch. Shiny, naked surface. Rich aroma of medium roasted, dark malt, notes of wood and liquorice. Tasted fine with chocolate, vanilla and nuts offset by resin-like bitterness to lingering finish. Warming alcohol beneath. Very smooth in the mouth. Just an enjoying and relaxing sipper on a Sunday afternoon in Copenhagen, 26.05.2013.

thanx to bobochamlps ! label reads ’ rareR D.O.S. , cycle brewing, .. no sign of the ’peg’s good’ / ’peg’s cantina’ yet i asume this is the same ( the onley outcome by a search on rarer dos, plus i saw it on pictures, and bobochamp rated this here , also. so yeah, weird, but OK.. moving on ! pours black, no foam . very small ring of brown bubbles on the side of the glass. onley visible when i wear my glasses smell is not thazt intense, its describe it as a sweeter-coffe scent. soft carbo. bitter, turning into liquorish , sweet, a bit boowy ( not TOO much) but damn, thats wattery! i thought this wxould be a nice , thick stout ... also not that complex. the rum is pretty recogniwable, but not to straight forward.. overall i’m a bit dissapointed this is as thin as it is. and not that complex// heavy. this could either be a very light beer ( according to the mouthfeel) like 8 abv or something, or a real heavy one ( acoording to the boozyness) like 15 abv... weird... a bit dissapointing, indeed

Draught@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is sweet alcohol, malts, liquorice, ripe fruits and some mild rum notes. Flavour is rum, sweet liquorice, some sweet malts with mild toasted and toffeeish notes. Not as good as Rare DOS, as the alcohol and sweetness are a bit more offensive here.
