Growler thanks to 50belair!! Pours opaque black with a medium creamy dark brown head that dissipates leaving great lacing. Aroma is rum, dark roast, molasses, figs, vanilla. Flavor is the same, light plus sweet, light bitter, a touch of astringence and a bit of coffee. Finish is warming and rummy. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty nice beer.

Sample from growler at Beer Savant’s 50th birthday bash. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt. Light-bodied with a sweet roasty character and flavors of coffee, malt and lactose. The finish is sweet with a roast coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

A pale hazed yellowish beer with no head. In aroma, nice epsom salts and peaches with light wild yeast. In mouth, lychee with nice puckering sourness with light buttery notes, faint brett. Interesting.
