Dark brown. This has a lot of cinnamon. Dark sugars. Less thick than usual, but still pretty good body. Not sure if I get the coffee, but I do get a nice decent barrel character.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is rich, with a nice blend of cinnamon, coffee, dark sugars, and bourbon barrels. Flavour is rich and bold, with lots of bourbon barrels, gentle coffee, a touch of cinnamon, and deep dark sugars. Really great barrel character, thick malt character, and not too much cinnamon. Excellent, but would be better without the cinnamon.

22oz (thx, Matt!) @ SF
Aroma: a lot of cinnamon, sweet, bold. Couldn't identify the barrel character over the cinnamon explosion.
Taste: along the same lines, thick, bold, very sweet, some chcocolate.
Overall: cinnamon bomb 😑

Poured from 650mL bottle. Very dark brown with small beige head. Very cinnamon forward (too much) with some nice bourbon barrel, feint hint of coffee. Ends up being too much cinnamon - unbalanced. The base beer ends up saving the beer, but would rather have DBR.

650mL bottle. Pours black with no head. Tons of bourbon, roast, coffee, dark brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon on the nose. Flavour has a huge bourbon barrel character, good roast, lots of coffee, dark brown sugar, burnt bread crusts. Barrels come through very aggressively, but it works really well; this beer is excellent.

Geweldig!

Bottle shared at Johnny's turns 30 ad hoc beer celebration. Opaque jet black color, small but beautiful dark brown colored lacing. Aroma and flavor are malts, very very sweet, over the top sweet, over the top just too much. Can't handle this. Might be me but you gotta be able to handle a huge load of sugar if you wanna drink this. Good luck, not for me.

Close to black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet maple and dried fruits with some alcohol and figs as well. Mild wooden elements. Flavour is floral, figs, dried fruits, some toffee and mild sweet grapes.

Bottle. Pours opaque mahogany, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, bourbon, wood, vanilla. Flavor is full on sweet, light bitter. Very woody, and it feels like it might go tart if left in the fridge too long. Maybe it's just tannin overload.
