Bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours hazy golden with a thick white head. Aromas of banana, light lemon and faint smoke. Taste is more banana, faint spice, more smoke as it warms up. Not bad.

Medium white beer over clear copperish-golden beer. Sulphur, grains, honey. Honey, herbs, dried Thai herbs, DMS in high concentration giving saltiness, shrimp. Light body, low carbonation. DMS overload, but still quite palatable. Txs to Stef! 6/4/6/3/13

On tap at Red Squirrel Edinburgh. Clear gold lasting white head. Lager aroma. Ok Dortmund style some malt. Its ok actually. Fine.

Bottle from the Edinburgh Beer Factory shop. Appearance - a kind of caramel orange colour. Big fluffy tan head. Nose - hazelnuts and oatmeal. Chocolate biscuit comes through later. Taste - burnt bread up front, then chocolate biscuits. Some hazelnuts again. The burnt bread comes back on the finish. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Nice long creamy/crunchy finish. Overall - good example of the style. They haven't relied a lot on the use of hops to take it away from its true style and have pulled off a good one.

Rerate. Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear red-brown with a thick beige head. Less metallic than previously. More chocolate. +4. Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of toffee and malt. Taste is light metal, malt, toffee. Light sweet, nutty finish.
