Bottle shared by Bob. Dry and bready with a mild bitterness, almost like an American pale ale. Very drinkable, a change from overly sweet ipas.

22oz bottle in trade with mcox90 thanks-foamy lt tan head with trailing lace-amber. A-pine/citrus, yeasty, lt/med malt. T-citrus zest/pine/spice hops with some bite,lt/med malt-caramel/bready, some yeast.

Bottle purchased directly from the brewery on the release day. Served this only slightly chilled. Orange amber color with plenty of head retention. Aroma is very mild. Hints of fruit and hints of sweet bread.

The flavor is on the sweet side with the backbone being large amount of malts. The bitterness almost doesn’t exist. The taste is sweet bread with hints of citrusy and earthy hops, again with a sweet malt presence in the background that dominates the hop profile. The texture is almost sticky aftertaste and finish.

Overall, I feel like this should be marketed as an English IPA. The hop profile is overtaken by malt and also has an herbal /earthy note that reminds me of English beers I have sampled. I understand English hops and malts are not used here, but it just reminds me of a British IPA. This brew is drinkable and doesn’t have any problems. I have no issue drinking this, still tasty. I just think that a customer buying this in a bottle shop should understand it’s very malty.

22 oz. bottle purchased directly from the brewery on the release day. Deep brown color with lasting white head retention. Aroma is tempting. Large amounts of earthy hops with chocolaty and nutty malts.

The taste lives up to the delicious aroma. The nutty, smoky and caramel hops are balanced with the strong addition of herbal and earthy hops. Secondary flavor of chocolate or cocoa powder notes. The earthy hops balance out the sweet nutty malts very nicely. The bitterness lingers just slightly. Some lightly complex flavors for the style, lots of character. The body is thick and smooth, with a dry texture.

Overall I loved the balance most about this beer, it wasn’t overly hoppy or too sweet. Highly drinkable and on the higher end of a very simple style. I look forward to popping open more beers from this new brewery here in the Granite state.

Bottle from the brewery open house. Pours a slightly hazy reddish copper color with a huge frothy bubbly off white head that persists forever. Earthy, pine, citrus, and stone fruits meld with light caramel and bready malts in the aroma. The flavor holds a bit more maltiness than the aroma suggested. Solid bready caramel base with an earthy citrusy flavor. Moderate hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. A bit old school with a heavier caramel and toffee malty presence, but the use of newer hop varieties make this one stand out. Nice brew.
