Small cream head, fast gone over redbrown beer, slightly hazy. Leather, felt, tobacco, seaweed, saltiness and finish with a lot of coffeedrab. Bitterish with a sweeter finish; quite roasted, dry. Bit nutty, walnutpeel (not too bitter) . Coffee, yes, but once more rather restrained. Some exotic lettuce. Quite smooth , silky feel, towards oily; well bodied, soft carbonation. Smooth, rather than exciting. 7/4/7/4/14

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in December 2017. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a massive, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and slightly roasty-malty aroma of tropical fruits, pine, blueberry and some dark chocolate. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, not overly roasty, fairly fruity and resiny taste of tropical fruits, dark chocolate, licorice, pine, blueberry and some coffee, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, quite hoppy-resiny and slightly earthy finish. Medium to full body, creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty and saturating, fairly drinkable for 9.7% abv, great balance, really nice!

Tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, coffee and rich hops.

Fluffy beige head stayed well on a dark reddish brown still body. Great aroma of demerara, burnt caramel & sherry. Medium bodied, tingly on the palate with a soft cloying back. Bitter sweet tastes with white wine, grape, demerara, oak, cherry & wood. Different - enjoying this!

Fles 33cl thuis. Flink bitter, wat bloemig, sticky mouthfeel, fruittonen, zoetje, nadronk blijft lang hangen, hop (sorachi ace). (9-3-2018).

Draught @ In De Wildeman. Mostly clear deep amber to reddish brown color. Frothy off white head with some lacing. Aroma's: a bit vegetal, caramellish. Retronasal it's firm hoppiness, bitter, light caramel. Flavor is above moderate bitter, roasted. Light bodied. Firm bitter finish.

Bottle at home many thanks to a euroswap with Dutch Drebus, 03/03/18. Very light haze on a golden amber pour with a decent off white head. Nose is malt forward, bitter citric peel, booze tunes, toasted grains, orange peel, caramel. Taste comprises bitter orange, citric tinged straw, boozey tunes, rather 1D, caramel malts, white peppery spice, light Sorachi bite. Medium bodied with bite, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close finishing with slightly astringent hop bitterenss. Looks and feels the part but lacks at the business end ... a touch heavy handed and raw.
