Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB 01 2017, large sample. Clear golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, caramel, bit bready malt, pine. Strong bitterness, pine, almost mouthpuckering. Bit one dimensional, but serves the purpose well. Not many Dutch DIPAs with such a strong american styled bitterness. Good.

(Draught at Jopen Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2016) Golden amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, resin and pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with grapefruit, resin, grainy malt and a generous citric, resiny bitterness. Almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Possibly a bit sharp and unbalanced, but quite tasty with a generous hop profile. Nice one.

33cl bottle at De Paas in The Hague. Pours a hazy orange, with a tall white head with OK retention. Tastes and smells like a dry-hopped Belgian pale ale, with notes of dry grass, yeast, bitter hops and bread. Crisp and refreshing, but none of the flavours stand out in any way.

Bottle, courtesy of Douberd, many thanks! Hazy orange color with huuge white head. Aroma is fruity-hoppy, then a fresh yeast spiciness, vineous, a bit phenolic, then bananas and other sweet tropical fruits, maybe also orange/citrus peel. Taste is spicy, sweetish-fruity, then the spices take over again, junipers, spruce and resin. Could be drier, but I like this take on it as well. Good and soothing stuff.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Hazy light orange color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, quite fruity, yeasty, orangepeel, decently bitter, light funk, not as dry as you’d expect from a sasison, but in the end I quite like it. Might not be a saison officially, but I like this. Nice beer.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2016) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of apricots, orange peel, hay and spicy yeast. Malty, spicy taste with orange peel, apricots, earthy yeast, a touch of toffee and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty, spicy and hoppy. Nice one.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, bottled 01 2016 BB 01 2017, large sample. Cloudy orange color, medium frothy head. Aroma of bit spicy yeast, some sweet caramel, bit plastic and mashed apples., cardamom. Bit nutty in taste, bit yeasty, some sweet caramel, spicy bitterness. Maybe a bit fresh, the yeast hasnt really settled and finished all the byproducts yet. Ok beer.

33cl Bottle at Café Hesp. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of a bit of butter, green apples, yeast, dusty, light malty, some citrus, light floral. Flavour is also light buttery, hint of green apples, light sweet, dry, dusty, lemon, floral, light yeasty, not too spicy, more herbal, dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. A few small errors imho, but definitely has potential.
