Today
Ten years later and much like other small breweries across the UK Partizan has faced tough trading conditions; namely the lasting effects of the pandemic, soaring inflation and increasing rent. To both protect Partizan and avoid chasing inflation and increasing prices, the brewery moved its production out of London in 2023 to a farm in Market Harborough in rural Leicestershire, locating it at long-time friends, Langton Brewery.
We are now expanding the brewery here, on the farm. By Spring 2024 we will have a new fermenter hall and a greater capacity than we ever had in London which will allow us to brew exciting new beers and to collaborate with old friends and new. Despite the draw of the countryside our roots are still in London and we will continue to meet the demands of our customers in the city that we still call home.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Smooth airy palate, semi dry with fine carbonation. Smooth malt base, thin but creamy. Nice hops - pithy orange and lemon with mellow grapefruit and a whisper of skunk. Finishes airy and dry. Tasty!

Bottle from Beer HIve, Edinburgh [220613]
Hazy amber, bubbly big white head
Aroma of grapefriut, citrus hops, some floral notes, intense nose, quite complex, some lemon, lemon zest, touch herbal, nice sweet fruity light malt background, great aroma
Taste - Fruity citrus hops, grapefruit, floral hops, good soft sweet fruity malts in the background, all of the complex hop profile in the aroma comes through in the flavour, great taste
Palate - Soft to medium carb, medium body, not too bitter or sweet - great balance. Finish as main flavour, lots of citrus fruits, cleans off palate
Overall - I’m really liking the Partizan beers. This is another excellent one.

Sampled @ Haand 2013. Dark brown body with an off-white head. Nica aroma of malt light roasted, fruit, toast and hint of caramel. Flavor is sweet, soft roasted malt, fruit and balanced bitterness. OK medium body and decent aftertaste. A nice, easy drinkable one without being outrageous.

Bottle from Partizan. Not to be confused with the citrus edition! It pours pale yellow with a fluffy white head. The nose is dough, orange, sweet tangerine, grapefruit, herbel and spicy notes. The taste is rather peppery, dough, pithy citrus, straw, paper, decent bitterness and faint floral notes with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. I really like the citra on the nose, but the tastes doesn’t quite live up to it. A rather refreshing beverage nonetheless.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold, fairly effervescent, with a moderate, frothy white head. The nose definitely holds some funky brett, a bit of poo, some tangy tangerine. Light sweet flavor with dry funk, some mellow grassy bitterness, drying tangerine, hints of grapefruit, a bit of manure, some white grapes. Light to medium bodied with average to lively, massaging carbonation. Somewhat dry to finish, mildly warming, more poo, light grassy bitterness, grapefruit and tangerine, some alcohol, subtle grass and minerals. Great stuff, quite dynamic and punchy. Good one.

Bottle at JF’s, from Utobeer, 09/06/13. Lightly hazed golden with a big off white head. Nose is fresh hops, light pine, mineral notes, orange sherbet, grapefruit. Taste comprises juicy hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, light mineral notes, tropical goodness sealed in a bottle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Solid IPA - the best yet for me from Partizans pale spectrum.
