Description
The Wild Beer Co was born in 2012 out of a love of fermentation, barrel-ageing and most importantly, flavour. We believe exceptional brewing stems from imagination and passion. Our beers are brewed using modern creative techniques and ingredients while producing some of the world’s oldest beer styles guaranteed to give you a memorable drinking experience.
Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

330ml bottle. Lear reddish amber colour with small, frothy, rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Intense fruity, slightly tart aroma has notes of raspberry, hibiscus, rose hip, bergamotte, notes of vinegar, spicy, minimally peppery yeasty overtones. Taste is sweet and sourish, fruity, peppery, floral, hints of vinegar, some pepper, hibiscus, bergamotte, rose hip, passion fruit, raspberry. Very complex, skillfully composed - good.

330ml bottle from Jack’s Off License. Was a little intimidated to open this given the bottle description, the fact it’s 11% and also as it cost me an arm & a leg. Once opened, roasted coffee beans come through in the nose before a complex, exceedingly rich, evil tasting concoction of nutty malts and bitter dark chocolate take hold, with an espresso hit giving a fiery whisky like tang to the back of the throat. That said, this is a fairly smooth ride with myriad flavours leading you into a whirlpool of decadent darkness. Not for the faint hearted.

RE-RATE: 330ml bottle @ Beermoth brewer tasting. Lots more passionfruit and raspberry pips coming through with this. Much more berry fruitiness, light and sweet presenting a new dimension to this beer 330ml bottle from Beermoth. Quite a sparkling pour. Redcurrants & forest berries come to the fore, passionfruit introduces a sweet tartness.. every sip presents a new facet of this fantastic beer.. french wine, oak barrel hue, tangy hibiscus, a touch of lambic & once again those berries. A great complex beer for the autumn months.

(Draught at BrewDog Stockholm, 14 Sep 2013) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of cardamom, ginger, bready malt and spicy yeast. Malty, fruity taste with ginger, cardamom, gingerbread cake, dried fruit and a spicy yeast character. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite lively carbonation. Lots of spices all over the place. Hardly balanced, but interesting and quite enjoyable.

Bottle from Friends of Ham, Leeds. Lovely, pink tinged, hazy dark orange colour. No head. This would be the ideal beer to offer to a committed wine drinker, whenever attempting a "convert". It’s slightly acidic, lots of red fruit, slightly warming and the carbonation is low. Interesting stuff.

Light haze on this gold - amber beer. Tidy bubbly white head. Palate is slightly soft. Moderate fine carbonation. Hops are fresh orange with moderately bitter grass. Nice sweet peach note. Trace of pine. Semi dry finish with a mellow bitter linger. Interesting and very drinkable IPA.
