[ As Grey Trees Caradog’s Bitter ].Clear medium orange color with a small average, frothy - fizzy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, earthy, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, earthy notes. Cask half-pint in The Station, Oakengates Shropshire on 13th Nov 2016. Very pale blonde with a white head that gave some good lacing. Slight citrus leanings in both the nose and taste, subtle flavours I suppose and refreshing. But not a lot happening to excite your senses.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is light hop light citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery light fruit light hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with sort carbonation. Too light all round for me.

Cask @ The Salopian, Shrewsbury. Pours black, thin tan head. Aroma is chocolatey. Taste is smooth and chocolatey with soft dark malts. Very good.

Half-pint, cask ale at Post Office Vaults, shared with Finn. A deep rustic tint to a dark coloured body. A bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Plain, roasted malty nose. Flavoured with black malts including dark chocolate and liquorice. Ashy. Roasted bitter finish. Pleasant, just a little thin bodied for a porter (Birmingham 21.09.2016).
