Bottle split at Leightons gaff, picked up in Devonia, 08/11/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is toffee, stewed fruits, brown sugar, biscuit crumble. Taste comprises fruit slice, toffee, dried fruits, ight spice, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable strong if a touch basic in its appraoch and flavour profile.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours amber-brown with a creamy beige head. So so overall, a bit of earth, carpet, burnt leaves, minerals. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bitter finish, more earth, light astringency, cocoa, charred leaves. Pretty so so.

Bottle at home, 09/09/18. Light black with a well presented lasting tan covering. Nose is light charr, toffee, hint of coffee, brown sugar, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises bitter chocolate, roast malts, toffee, light spice, liquorice, brown bread, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent porter.

Cask, half-pint on 17th July 2018 in The Lamb, Sandford, Devon. Light golden body, white crown. Citrus notes in the nose, floral touch too in the aroma. Subtle citrus flavour on a bed of pale maltiness, drying finish.

Bottle at home, 03/07/18. Lightly hazed golden with a decent white cap. Nose is lemon tinged straw, tangerine, airy malts, grass, light breads. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, citric tinged straw, light breads, grass, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced but slightly restrained hop bitterness. Ok pale but could do with a hop injection.

[ As South Hams Prawn Juice ].Unclear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light citrus.
