Description

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, caramel, hint of raisins and chocolate, some roasty notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a nice moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. There’s a good balance and refined character to this Bock.

From tap at Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Aroma is mildly smokey with dark malt, cocoa, powdery chocolate, light creamy, soft roast, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with some roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Nice Porter, only lightly smoked, with the cocoa dominating the aroma.
