Open since 2000, Moat Mountain Smoke House is a 174-seat brewpub, restaurant, and inn located in one of North Conway's most historic buildings. In addition to our flagship location, we recently restored the Limmer Barn in Intervale, NH, opening the Moat Mountain Brewing Company Brewery Barn and Cannery in 2013.
Our speciality craft beers are distributed across Maine, Massachusetts, and of course, New Hampshire for everyone to enjoy in the majority of our New England home.
Our smokehouse prides itself on having a predominant in-house, scratch recipes sourced from local resources right here in North Conway.
Whether you're coming in to sit down with the family, or meeting some friends for beers and apps, you're welcomed at our brew pub to enjoy all ends of the spectrum of hospitality, great beers, and some amazing eats.

14 oz draft. Light aroma. Sweet grain, corn, soft yeast. Real light body. I mean, it gets the job done. About what I expected.

Can from the Packie. Inky black in color with a thin but long lasting frothy tan head. Big chocolate with light roast and a hint of spicy rye and oak tannin. A little sweet and sticky, but really tasty.

Pours a slightly hazy amber from a can, rather light aroma is nondescript. Nearly insipid, a faint bitterness. Good beer insofar as it’s not offensive, just nothing outstanding.

Can from the Packie, Hazy lemon orange with some huge carbonation. Orange grapefruit earthy grassy light smokiness. Not bad, but I get a weird flavor from every Mandarina beer I've tried.

Can from the Packie Hazy dark lemon in color with a decent sized bubbly off white head that slowly recedes. Sweet bready maltiness moderate alcohol notes. Citrus fruit earthy and pine hop aroma and flavor. A bit heavy with the alcohol but a pretty tasty sipper.

Roast and caramel. Black pour with mocha head and lacing. Dark chocolate and lighter sense of coffee. Pretty nice stuff. Bittersweet finish. Heavy on malt. Light sense of licorice. Tall can from trade.

Can (4/10/20) pour from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Appearance is cloudy yellow with no sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is sweet and tart citrus, melon. Taste is mild lemon and orange dominated by bitter counterbalance, background cracker. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and not-very-flavorful, mostly bitter finish. Overall, when I saw the hops I was excited for a juicy, citrusy bomb! Expectations were muted when I saw it was not advertised as a NEIPA. Not sure how they squelched the vibrancy of each of these hops--let alone together--and came up with a bitter-dominant but disappointing.

Draft. Pitch black appearance. Flavor has mild lasting bourbon, chocolate, mild roast, dark fruit, slight alcohol but doesn’t distract from the enjoyment. Nice barrel addition! Very nice.
