Awesome beer. On tap at the brewery in PDX. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. A huge floral nose, jasmine, peppercorn. The flavor showcases more jasmine, very lively, some bite from the peppercorn, sweet moderately dry saison base. Damn nice.

On tap in PDX at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A rich lemon nose, floral at times. The flavor is bitter, not too much of a malt base, lemon zest especially, light tropical fruit, some grainy and meaty flavors. Good.

Glass at the brewery. Pours a bright copper color with a small white head. The aroma is intense, fruity, big sweet sugary malts, light heat. The flavor is more brown sugar, big sweet malts, intense fruity hops, medium bitterness, resin, hot, green at times, big balanced malty base. Quite like a barley wine. Very good. This will get solid ratings if people try it.

Rich brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head showing some nice off-white lacing. Aroma of bright fresh hops, light earth and a bunch of caramelised sugars. Medium-bodied; Nice rich caramel maltiness with hints of earth and mellow hop flavours with a crisp pine and light spruce spiciness. Aftertaste showing a good complexity with a great balance of hops, malt and spice. Overall, a nice beer for the season and to be honest - one that can be sampled at anytime! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods (Pearl) in Portland, Oregon on 06-December-2013 for US$4.99 sampled in my hotel room in Portland on 06-December-2013.
