Description
We are always busy creating taste sensations, always looking for improvements or new flavours and optimizing our beers. Our beer is pronounced, complex, balanced, often full and soft in texture. We don’t brew beer for everyone, we only brew beer for people who love pronounced flavours. We do this by constantly tinkering with our recipes in search of perfection, we want to brew beer that is considered legendary. One has to tell stories about how great the beer of the Moersleutel is. Anyone who drinks our beer must be spoiled for life and must want nothing more.

375ml bottle from Sterk, Amsterdam. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of tonka beans, vanilla, cocoa, coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweetish, slightly roasty and earthy with loads of vanilla, tonka, cocoa and chocolate. Finish is sweetish and syrupy with some roastiness, loads of tonka, vanilla and cocoa. A bit unbalanced, but tasty.

At Ghent Beer Society's Beer Quiz; shared with Anke & Pieter!
Cloudy yellow with a small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, citrus, flowery hops & pine. It tastes medium to heavy hoppy & grassy bitter and light fruity sweet; shortish, dry finish. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Quite good.

Appearance: Very dark brown, near black. Flat, almost no head.
Aroma: Dark malt, roasted, slight peat.
Taste: Peat, but not too much. Dark malt, roasted, some sweetness. Not too much barrel. Not that complex, but hides alcohol well.
Bought: Trade with tricksta_p - thanks!, 375 ml

More fruity, way less bitter than 2. Big improvement on the NE front, but could still be more. Soft and creamy, something umami-malty.

Bottle @ home. The beer looks amazing: pitch black with a very creamy and dense light to medium dark brown head. Smells chocolate, roasty, coffee, sweet, slightly liquorice. Tastes chocolate, roasty, dark malts, chocolate bitterness, liquorice, some coffee but not as much as one would expect. Full body, soft carbo.
