Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Pale amber with a loose white head; biscuity malt aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a weak tropical fruit taste to start, then some apple juice and a herbal bitterness; leading to a dry finish. Pleasant to drink in the beer garden on a summerโs evening.

Cask at the Squirrel, Penn Street, 12/06/17. Clear golden blonde with a well appointed white head that retains well. Nose is melon, light bread, straw, faint citric peel, grains. Taste comprises bread dough, pale malts, toasted grains, tangerine, light lemon zest, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light floral come grassy hop bitterness. Sessioned on three pints of this during the pub quiz ... a decent gold for sure!

An excellent and very much on style classic English bitter. A beer such as this is a thing of beauty and I enjoyed every sip. It was served at the right temperature and was a lovely dark brown colour in the tankard. Lots of malt gave a smooth mouth feel and there was just the right amount of bittering hops. A taste of biscuit, a slight sweetness and a welcome hint of farmyard. Thirst quenching and with the nice low abv it is eminently sessionable.

Had this at the MTB evening at Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, Thursday 9th March 2017 This is a very easy drinking juicy session beer. A touch tropical but also some some summer fruits show. This is nice, another solid beer by Loose Cannon, itโs really easy drinking and quaffable, mid gold nice bitterness good, really good. Another 3.3 for me tonight. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Had this at the MTB evening at Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, Thursday 9th March 2017 Light gold coloured, like the Recoil the malts show and define this beer but interestingly this seems less pilsner like than the Recoil, though there is a pleasant bitter bite and a fruity, dry finish A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Had this at the MTB evening at Drunk Dry, Kidlington, Oxon, Thursday 9th March 2017 Light straw coloured, dry and with a mineral edge. A little bit of a harsh bitter edge, but good stuff, pilsner malts clearly present. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
