500ml bottle from, I believe, Bay Hop. Pours a very clear copper, thin white ring atop with a respectable amount of lacing. Aroma is gently sweet caramel. Confidently sweet to taste, a really appealing toffee character with an additional spiced marmalade fruitiness. Decent stuff.

Optisch klar und tiefgoldgelb mit wenig Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone fällt rasch auf unter einen Zentimeter zusammen. Die Duftaromatik wirkt leicht malzig, süßlich fruchtig-floral bis weinig und zart würzig. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, angenehm spritzig, getreidig, süßlich, aber auch kräftig herb. Am Gaumen setzt sich die getreidige, leicht süßlich keksige Malzaromatik schön fort. Aus dem Hintergrund kommt eine ganz gute florale bis kräuterartige Würze hervor, die gemeinsam mit einer passenden Hopfenherbe ein volles, sehr rundes und harmonisches Gesamtbild erzeugt. Sowohl Mundgefühl, als auch die Süffigkeit darf man als durchaus gut bewerten. Im Nachtrunk verfliegen die süßlichen, malzigen und floralen Noten sehr rasch und machen Platz für eine leichte Säure und eine kräftige aromatische Hopfenherbe. Das wirkt absolut angenehm und passt zu diesem Bier. Etwas später wird die Herbe immer deutlicher, baut dann aber auch wieder langsam ab. Fazit: Ein Blond/Golden Ale wie es im Lehrbuch steht!

0,33l bottle bought in Spar, Llanrwst. BB 06/2023. Yellow clear color, small white head. Smells wash cloth, bit light struck, spices, earthy. Ok smell. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes earthy, grassy, citric, some corn, bit leathery, peppery. Finishes medium bitter with notes of pepper, earthy and grassy notes. Some light off notes. Flavors are a bit all over the place. Drinkable still.

I have a 500 ml bottle located at a stop on our time in Wales late this spring. I pull the cap and pour into a Cowtown snifter to see an orange-gold liquid with a slender top of off white foam. The nose is grain and biscuit. And I have a drink, bread, grain, metal and a hint of caramel. Tolerably decent in a style that rarely yields a surprise.

330ml bottle from Purple Moose shop, Betws Y Coed. Pours a generally clear golden yellow, good white head. Sweet pilsner malt aroma. Crisp on the palate with an excellent buttery sweet pilsner character, mild biscuit malt notes. Nicely presented.

500ml bottle (at 5%ABV) from Wally's in Cardiff. BBE June 2022. Drank at home on 14th September 2021. Enjoyed this, an uncomplicated IPA with enough going on to be interesting throughout. Golden amber body, clean and clear; white head. Floral and resinous aroma, malts come into play in the flavour. No citrus fruits or citrus flavoured hops were hurt in the brewing of this beer.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - pale yellow with thin lacing. Nose - lemon and light biscuit. Taste - more lemon, light lager yeast spice and biscuit again. Palate - light bodied, refreshing finish. Overall - makes me think more of a golden ale.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - golden with a proportionate white head. Nose - lemon, orange and brown bread. Maybe something herbaceous. Taste - bread and orange again. Palate - light to medium bodied, fairly zingy in the middle but could be cleaner on the finish. 26/9/2020. Bottle shared with / courtesy of SHIG. Cheers! Pours clear bright mid-gold with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, butter, sweet malt, touch of grass and herb. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Looked good, otherwise generally ok.
