Description
One day, Dave Grant and David McHardy had have enough of their jobs at an oil and gas company. They decided to follow their shared passion and establish a brewery. Under the name Fierce Beer they brew a selection of quirky beers, which have already collected the necessary prices in a short time.

Bottle. Hazy brick red body with massive yeast chunks floating beneath a medium pink head. Faint lacing. Aroma of strawberry syrup, tablet and cranberry. Flavour of tart raspberries and a hint of honey. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. An interesting beer, but it’s one of the ugliest I’ve ever seen - the floaters look like pieces of crushed piece of chalk. The other reviews are more positive so I will try to seek it out again.

Keg at The Rake event. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, bright citrus, orange peel and plenty of salty lemon. The taste is crisp, refreshing dry, tart, fresh acidity, salted lemon, orange zest, straw and sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I found this very well balanced and really refreshing. A great summer beer.

1/3 pint at Brewdog Dundee pours a hazy dark orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose is interesting, coffee beans, a touch of black pepper, some vegetal jalapeno notes, some chestnut honey. Flavor follows a bit, some green bell pepper, some pink peppercorn, honey, a little caramel, blonde roast coffee. Finishes a touch sticky, but mostly dry. Interesting.

1/3 pint at Brewdog Dundee pours a murky black with some creamy, ringing tan head. Nose is very nice, coffee and licorice and molasses, a touch cakey, a little cola, but mostly just fragrant coffee bean. I like the flavor a bit less, the overwhelming adjuncts (licorice and molasses) really overtake the coffee, too much chocolate too. Don’t really get much vanilla anywhere. Finishes sweet and a touch sticky.

Bottle. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and melon rind. Flavour of smooth coffee, wood and orange pith. Thin to medium body with smooth texture. Soft fizz. The first sip was very interesting - I wasn’t sure about the inclusion of coffee in a Pale Ale - but it grew on me more and more.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of passionfruit, peach sherbet and caramel biscuit. Flavour of orange concentrate, lime chutney and sour grapefruit. Thin body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. The sourness is unexpected and off-putting.
