Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a crema head. The head disappears fairly quickly. Nose - dark chocolate plus if you look for it, there’s some smoke. Taste - more of the same. It’s hard to identify the maple other than just as sweetness. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - my first from these guys and it was enjoyable. My one criticism would be that the body seems a little thin.

330ml bottle via Keith Niven. Shared at the Edinburgh homebrew barrel-fill. Pours dark brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of bacon from the off! Smoked meat, then the maple. Taste is smoky, sweet maple without being overpowering. Nice roasty, smoked finish. Good beer.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours hazy pale gold, thin white head. Aromas of light sour lemon, faint smoke. Taste has more of the smoke coming through though, plus cooked oranges. Light sour tang on the finish. Interesting.
