Cask (handpump) @ The Candlemaker, 136 Battersea High St, Battersea, Greater London, England SW11 3JR. [ As Kings Heritage Poachers Moon ].Clear medium golden orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, caramel, floral, toffee, light sour. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, toffee, caramel, sour, vinegar notes. IMO: off .. as the other beers this place (sorry brewer) !! Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150805] 5-3-4-2-8

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, tart fruit, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, caramel, woody. Cask (backlog). Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is wood, some floral and grassy notes along with mild nutty and caramel notes. Flavour is quite similar, with some slight toasted malty notes to it as well. Easy session beer.

Bottle, backlog rating, bought at a pub close to Gatwick Airport, pre flight. Poured clear amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, with smoky and fruity notes. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium to thin body, texture a bit watery, soft to average carbonation.

Cask @ The Surrey Docks (JDW), Rotherhithe SE16. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty sour vinegar citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy vinegar finish.

Cask at the Claret. It pours clear rich brown with a decent off-white head. The aroma is earthy, twiggy, leather, toasted nuts and light spice. The taste is bitter, earth, dirt, quite spicy, twig, mild astringency, cereal and toast with a drying finale. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good condition, but the beer is pretty underwhelming. Meh.

Cask at Leyton Technical. It pours pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, lemon parfait, grapefruit, floral and dull lime. The taste is crisp, clean, straw, bitter, grassy, grainy, lemon peel and grapefruit with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch grainy, but ok.

Cask at Claret as Kings Heritage Kings Festive, 4.8%. It pours clear rich brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, cereal, toasted grain, touch of dried fruits and caramel. The taste is bitter, earthy, toasted brown bread, tart berry skin, mild acidity, coffee grounds, chewy malt, varnish, dried fruits, slight burnt note, toasted nuts and a touch of spice. Finish is dry and chewy. Medium body and soft carbonation. A touch chewy and unbalanced. Not terribly drinkable.
