13th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Opaque dark brown beer. Flat! No head. Smooth semi dry palate. Licoricey dark malt with well integrated red fruit - cherry and raspberry coming to the fore. Finishes dry. Nice mild.

13th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Opaque black beer. Frothy brown head - short lived. Dark and dry malt. Licorice and some sweet aniseed. Fruity with a slight medicinal note. The malt is slightly toasted. A hint of bubblegum in the finish and a pinch of spice. Complex tasty beer. Somewhere between a dark lager and a mild. Nice one Felstar!

13th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear gold beer. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Bitterish orange that is marmaladish. A little sweet citrus before the semi dry finish which has a pinch of spice. A refreshing start after the hot journey from London.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, light to moderate yeasty, leather, grapefuit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate yeasty, leather, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, peel bitter.
