33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is yeasty fruity and dark roasted malty. Sweet malty, fruity and yeasty. Bitter and dark malty mixed with fruity yeasty. Lingering fruity finish.

Bottle at De Wiering, Leuven. Poured an extremely dark red body, nearing black, with a big, thick off white head. Spicy nose, fruity and peachy, vague pine, quite lovely. The taste is nice at first but deteriorates soon. Metallic sweet spicy taste, some light malt, Yet another dubbe. A bit of a letdown.

Medium to good brownish beige head, receding over opaque brown beer with a reddish sheen. Sweet-roasted smell, not very powerful. Corianderish, roasted, melanoidin-rich, but essentially, sweet brew, with brown candi sugar. Sweet malts in the finish, as something "horsey". Medium to well-bodied,quite slick to faintly oily, despite the very present carbonation. Far from me to look down upon brewery hirers. But wasn’t there any other option than to turn to an arch-conservative, self-repeating brewery?

Light-copper, clear beer, well-carbonated to a good, dense off-white head. Very imposing spicy nose, with lavender and other southern spices, making it a bit soapy; and some caramel. They soapy, lavender-like characater returns in the mouth. Although the finish is more classicaly malty, the Bodyshop flavour keeps hanging in the oral cavity. Caramel underneath, lemon peel. Very carbonated, light alcoholwarming, quite slick. Oh well. It’s original - which for Du Bocq is quasi-revolutionary. But that leaves it still too soapy to my taste...

Very cloudy amber to copper coloured beer, towering white head, unstable and adhesive. Aroma: very faint. Some malts, hops and again alcohol. (see Broeder Jacob bruin) MF: too much carbon, medium body, bit watery texture. Taste: white grapes, sweet malts, caramel. Aftertaste: almost none. Some citrus fruits.

Dark brown little cloudy beer, thick rocky beige head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: caramel, some dried fruit, clear alcohol scent, spices. MF: too much carbon, light body, bit watery texture. Taste: little caramel and mocha. Aftertaste: practically none. With some goodwill mocha and spices. Pretty flat taste experience.
