Flaske, april-14: en frisk ipa fylt med citrus og godt balansert. En riktig god og syrlig ipa som var den perfekte velkomstøl hos Steven. Kjøpt på Prohibition Wines. Må prøve mer fra dette bryggeriet.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is woody nettle light resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth resin hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice enough but not really my style of IPA I’m afraid. It’s a bit one dimensional.

Keg at the brewery. Fantastic aroma of big fresh tropical fruits with mango pineapple and bitter orange. Clear golden orange with a lasting white froth. Flavour is big bitter lemon, grapefruit with some orange. Dominated by bitterness which ruins the balance. Palate is medium and medium carb. Finish isn’t quite dry enough.

Keg at the brewery. Golden colour with a fleeting white frothy head. Aroma is nice grainstore, hay and straw and nice spicy Nobel hop. Flavour is sweet nutty pils grains and earthy spicy hops. Crisp palate with a light sweetness in the finish. Lingering solid bitterness is a bit rough round the edges. Solid.

Bottle from Good Taste Food and Drink, Crystal Palace, London - fuzzy golden pour with a small white head. Sweet malty, grassy, herbal and again more floral than hoppy (who stole the hops?)

Bottle from Good Taste Food and Drink, Crystal Palace, London - golden orange pour with small white head. Taste and aroma is grassy, straw, sweet, herbal almost medicinal nuance which was weird, with again hardly any hops. Meh.
