Cask at the brewpub. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose has some suggestions of spice, citrus, grainy bread. Light sweet flavor with husky grain bitterness, some grass, simple pale bread, something off like ginger. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Simple sugary pale malt finish with faint pine, lemon rind, pale bread. I almost detect a whisper of Brett here. So so.

Cask @ Temple Brew House, London. Clear copper-brown with a head around the rim of the glass. Has a sweet aroma with berry fruitiness evident here and in its taste, but feels a touch thin in mouth.

Cask at the brewpub. Dimpled mug. Mid amber coloured pour with a nice thick creamy head. Aroma is nice raisin, dried fruits, English yeast esters, semi sweet malts. Flavour is tangy apple, toffee apple, little caramel, dried fruits. Blood and metalic iron in the finish really weird. Kind of apple surbert thing going on. Palate is medium light. . with decent cask condition.

Cask at the brewpub. Left overs from Christmas? Mid amber / orange/ brown coloured pour with a thin lasting greyish head. Aroma is interesting mix of sticky burnt sugar and Jamaica cake spices, star anise, cinnamon. Flavour is over powering spices, sandlewood cinnamon, Christmas spices. Comes across as a bit soapy. Way too much spice. Some wood tannin. Palate is fine, medium sweet, lowish carbonation. Complete palate wrecker.

Cask at the brewpub. Pale golden yellow coloured pour with a fleeting fine white head. Aroma is subdued medicinal like hop, bery, hedgerow and base grain, maybe a hint of lemon drop on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of bery, dirty citrus lemon, a some wet grass hop. Malt is decent clean English malt with a hint of biscuit. Palate is medium light with decent cask condition. Lingering tangy lemon hop. OK, bit rough round the edges.

Cask at the brewpub. Clear reddy / chestnut brown coloured pour with a loose cream coloured head. Aroma is earthy coco, powdered choc, bit of green apple, hint of toast. Flavour is composed of choc and toasted bread, little burnt toast, tangy apple and raisin, choc powder. Palate is a little thin, lowish carbonation, watery. Not great. Lingering earthy bitter choc and tangy fruit.
